When you ask us for one of our puppies we will ask many questions as we want to know about the home you are offering one of our fur babies. This is not us trying to catch you out. It's more about making sure that the breed is suitable for your family and, most importantly, trying to match the right puppy to the right environment/home. It would be silly to place a quiet puppy into a busy family home or a busy playful puppy with an older couple.
If we all decide on a puppy for you, we actively encourage you to visit regularly during the puppy's growing weeks here. It gives you time to get to know your new companion and decide if he/she is right for you. NONE of our puppies leave us before they are 12 weeks of age. By this time, they will have received all their puppy vaccinations as well as having had a microchip fitted. When they leave us, they will go with all of the following:
- Kennel Club papers (endorsed not for breeding or selling abroad)
- Vaccination card
- Menu of what and when the puppy is eating
- Sample pack of food as well as a pack with instructions on where to purchase the food
- Goodie bag with scent blanket, treats and toys
- Worming certificate along with future worming advice
- Micro-chip papers and instructions on how to transfer ownership
- 4 weeks insurance documents
- Sale receipt
- Contract of sale signed by us all (you included)
- Booklet on the breed with helpful hints
- Advice on the ongoing socialising of your puppy
- Pedigree certificate showing the puppy’s ancestors
- Copies of the parents' health tests
The reason we endorse the Kennel Club certificates is that our puppies are sold as pets and therefore not breeding stock. This gives the puppy/dog a far greater chance of a forever home. It also means that they will not be bred from without careful consideration of all the health issues within the breed.
We are always happy to talk to anyone who is looking for help and advice regarding a future purchase of a Cavalier or just ongoing help and advice for a puppy/dog they already have regardless of whether or not it involves one of our own dogs.
Once again thank you for taking the time to read this and we wish you every success in finding your forever companion.
